🎄If you’re looking for a Christmas book with a little bit MORE depth than a cheesy romance (no shade, we love that too), this is the one for you!

🎤Our main character Mel is a wedding singer who has always had a complicated relationship with her mom because of her substance abuse. When Mel receives life-changing news about her band and then gets a call that her mother has passed away, her world is turned upside down.

🎄To make things even more complicated, let’s throw in the fact that she has nowhere to live (other than her mom’s house filled with heavy memories), a new love interest, and a surprise visit from her mom’s ex-best friend 👀👀

📖The story kept unfolding and offering twists and surprises right up until the very end. I was never bored! The audiobook was only 7.5hrs long which allowed me to listen to the whole thing straight through while I decorated my house for Christmas and ran errands on a snow day (the ideal situation). It was the perfect book to keep my company and the change of pace I needed from the typical Christmas romance.

🎧The audiobook was read entirely by one narrator and she nailed it. Ann Kaputo isn’t a narrator I’ve heard a lot from, but I’ll definitely be looking out for books read by her in the future. She was the perfect fit for this one!
