🫶I’ve read quite a few books by Jojo Moyes and the thing that always surprises me is how different they are from each other. I really enjoy that about her writing! She doesn’t follow a typical formula, theme, etc. Every story is so different from her last!

📖I’m so happy to report that this is my new favorite by her!

🏠If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that literary fiction/family drama is one of my favorite genres and this one just absolutely nailed exactly what I’m looking for in a family drama!

📖The story follows Lila as she navigates being a single mom of two after the loss of her mom. First her stepfather moves in with her and then her biological father, whom she has no relationship with, randomly shows up too! Emotions and tensions run high while secrets are slowly revealed leaving family members questioning what they thought was their reality.

🏠If you’re used to lightening speed page-turners, this very character based book may seem slow to you, but it felt like the perfect pace for me to really understand each of them on a deep level.

🫶I’ll definitely be recommending this one for a long time!!
