💌 As soon as I got this book in the mail and read the synopsis, I knew it would be for me! This is what sold me, so hopefully it will draw you in too:

💜 “Florence “Flo” Greene is nearing the end of her life, and she decides to leave her house and an account of her life for Ruthie, the younger woman who grew up next door, moved away, and still is like a surrogate daughter. As Flo writes to Ruthie about the meaning of beloved things in her home and about events in her past, she also tries new adventures of her own.”

💌 I loved Flo so much and reading about her life experiences through letters was so encouraging. The story is packed full of life advice and wisdom passed down from one generation to the next. Flo never shied away from her flaws and didn’t try to make her life appear more glamorous than it was. Her story shows that there is immense beauty in a simple life.

💜 I think this book is so aptly named as it really did feel like an ode to life. It wasn’t flashy or dramatic, but it was a peaceful comfort read I will definitely be recommending for a long time. I couldn’t help but think of The Correspondent while reading this book, so if you loved that one (like I did), you should absolutely pick this up!

🎧 The audiobook was read by the author and at just about 5.5 hours, it was the perfect length to listen to in a day. Once I started, I never wanted to stop listening!
