🥰 Thank you so much to @crownpublishing for the gifted ARC!
‼️ Wow. Wow. Wow.
⌛This book takes place over the course of about 5 minutes. You know from page one that there are 5 people waiting for a train and one will die.
📖In between the current timeline chapters, there are longer chapters doing a deep dive on each of the five characters. You learn the good, the bad, and the absolute ugliest parts of all of them (some very disturbing content, FYI, I’m serious, VERY disturbing).
🚄The current timeline parts were so insane and stressful, while the character chapters were so well done and fully constructed that they almost could have been short stories in and of themselves.
⌛The thriller lover in me LOVED the fast paced action parts, but the literary fiction/family drama loving part of me was deeply moved and captivated by these individuals’ life stories.
‼️I’m truly shocked how well she pulled this off.
🙌 Also at just about 220 pages, there was no extra fluff at all. It was direct and precise. Absolutely unputdownable.
❓ What’s the craziest book you’ve read recently?
