πΌI am always so excited when there are debut thriller authors, but I’m even more excited when the book is actually FUN!
πI will say thrillers described as “cat and mouse” don’t really pull me in as I’m still not even sure what that means, but if that’s a pull for you, then that’s what this is- LOL
πI would sell this more as a thriller full of DRAMA and even better mom/daughter drama. There’s so much more going on, but mother/daughter drama in thrillers always does it for me for some reason, maybe because I have such a nice and normal mom and missed out on it IRL, jkjk.
πThis took a little bit of time for me to be invested, but once I (thought) I had a handle on what was going on, I was hooked, even though I was wrong on all of my suspicions. I thought the ending was unexpected and fresh and it left me very satisfied with the overall story.
πI think if you’re looking for a fun and dramatic thriller, you should pick this one up!
π§The audio was so well done and the narrator brought such an intense level of emotional dimension, you could almost always hear the stress in her voice. It stressed me out, but I loved it.
