π€Thank you SO MUCH for the free book @vikingbooks@pameladormanbooks

βοΈListen, this book was a little too REAL for me so I just need to talk about the wild reading experience first. The story is about a woman with a young son and daughter alone in her house during a snow storm. She wakes up to a noise and realizes someone is in her house. And her husband isn’t there. Worst fears βοΈβοΈβοΈ
βοΈI also have young son and daughter and thought it would be fun to read this during a massive blizzard (#yolo) and then the power started flickering for extra special effects ππ‘π¦
βοΈI started reading and admittedly I was thinking *I don’t know how she’s going to fill an entire book with this mom just running from this dude in her house *… I should never have doubted @tsierraauthor and should have trusted the process. So take my word for it, TRUST THE PROCESS AND YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!
βοΈI read the last 200 pages basically without stopping or breathing. The more I read the more entranced I became. Like, my pulse is literally quickening thinking about it and it’s been 2 days since I’ve read it.
βοΈAt a surface level, this is an incredible psychological thriller debut. But after I’ve sat with it a while, there is SO MUCH MORE to think about and sit with. I really can’t say anything else because you need to experience this one for yourself.
βοΈI read a physical copy of this, but you better believe I’ll be listening to the audiobook when it’s available (@prhaudio). I’ll report back after I do that because I’m sure the audio will be INSANE π³
βοΈAlso, you should follow Tracy Sierra on insta because she tells creepy stories about a 300ish year old house she bought that has someone buried in her well. NBD.
βοΈSorry for posting two snowy photos in a row, but it’s my life now, I’m living in a snowglobe. βοΈπ
βHave I convinced you to read this? (lol) What are you reading now?
