📚Leah Konen really excels in her niche’ of what I like to call “mama drama”. As a young mom, I always find her books to be easy to read and relatable (minus the murders of course).

📚Domestic thrillers intrigue me because they really play up on our fear of wondering how well we really know our friends and neighbors. And in this case, our main character Mary definitely doesn’t know her newly found friend as well as she thinks she does! This book had a great flow and kept me engaged. I finished it in one day because I couldn’t stop reading!

📚I loved the layers in this one and how the plot just kept unfolding more and more as the story went on. Just when I thought everything was revealed, Konen added another twist I didn’t see coming!

📚I definitely recommend this one and can’t wait to see what she writes next!

🗣️The audiobook was narrated by Reba Buhr and Karissa Vacker and I highly recommend that version if possible!

📚If you haven’t read her previous work, YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME, I highly highly recommend that one on audio especially! I’ll share my previous review for it below!

🤱The main character is 6 weeks post partum when her husband goes missing! As if that’s not enough, things start to get a little crazy for her! Everyone in her life has secrets (herself included) and nothing is what it seems.

😳I absolutely could not put this book down! I started it in the morning and finished it that night! The pacing was perfect, the twists surprised me, I was happily entertained the whole time; what more can I ask for in a thriller?

👂The audiobook performance was also perfect, obviously because it’s narrated by Karissa Vacker!

📚This was my first book by @leahkonen but I have officially placed her previous books on my TBR! I can’t wait to read them all and she already announced a new one coming!! 📖
