👀A slow-burn 500+ page mystery/family drama/police and procedural that I absolutely couldn’t put down!

📖I don’t know what it was exactly, but there was just something about this one that really did it for me. I wanted to be reading this every spare second and I typically can’t stand books longer than 300 pages because I have a short attention span, but I was never once bored!

👀It reminded me of APPLES NEVER FALL which was another major win for me personally. The similarities between the two books: both ABOUT 500 pages, both about a mom that goes missing, both with 4 siblings full of drama, not to mention the husbands 👀👀

📖This one just had so many great elements: small town GOSSIP, dysfunctional family (to the max), unsolved mysteries revisited decades later, a podcast element (duh it’s 2024), a possibly unreliable character with dimentia, etc.

👀I think the writing itself was just super immersive and very readable! This was my first book by husband/wife author duo, Nicci French. I didn’t even know know Nicci French was a duo before this book!

📖The ending had me 🤔🤔 a little bit so I need someone to read it and discuss with me ASAP because I don’t want to risk giving anything away!

👀I’m definitely going to read their backlist books now! If you’ve read them, please let me know which one I should start with!
