πTitle: Summer Romance
βοΈAuthor: Annabel Monaghan
π
Pub date: June 4, 2024
πThis book has only been out for two days and it’s already taking over bookstagram ππ
πThis one was short and sweet and I flew through it in a 24 hour period.
β€οΈWhen the “meet cute” moment is her dog peeing on his leg, you know it’s going to be a good one. I really liked the light and funny parts of this, especially when she kept referring to non-legging pants as “hard pants”.
πAs good as the light and romantic parts of the book were, I really enjoyed the parts about her grieving the loss of her mom the most. I know that sounds weird and depressing, but the way it was written was so raw and realistic. Every time she wanted to tell her mom something and couldn’t, and how she still felt her mom with her and heard her advice in her head broke my heart π I feel like Anabel could write some gut wrenching literary fiction if she ever wnated to give romance a break π (she should do both)
β€οΈAll that to say that I think this will be one of the most popular romances this summer!
