πOh Will Dean, you crazy crazy man!
πThis is my third book by Will Dean and I’m happy to say that I’ve enjoyed them all. I know people have OPINIONS on his wild and crazy endings, but I rather appreciate that he does what he wants and doesn’t care if it’s crazy! In contrast to my thoughts on THE LAST ONE, I actually thought the ending on this one was the best part!
πWhile the beginning did drag on for me with all of the (probably necessary) descriptions of the chamber, many characters and their nicknames and backstories, etc., I was really locked in when things started to pick up around the halfway mark. I found myself not in it for the action as much as for the main character and her story. I needed to know how things would end for her and was INVESTED!
πWhile reading, I spent a lot of time researching what an actual hyperbaric chamber looks like and the ins and outs of saturation diving. I can 10000% guarantee there wouldn’t be enough money in the WORLD for me to get in those chambers π
πOverall, I’d definitely recommend you pick this one up!
π§As far as the narration goes, I think she did a good job, but think this one would be great in print or audiobook version!
βHow much money would it take for you to go underwater in a hyperbaric chamber for a week?
