πFirst off, this is book three in the WHEN IN ROME series, but can very easily be read as a standalone. Book 1 is WHEN IN ROME, Book 2 is PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT, and Book 3 is BEG, BORROW, OR STEAL. Somehow I skipped book one, but read books two and three π
πOverall, this book was super cute and fun. “Enemies” to lovers, teachers at the same school, neighbors, both authors, etc. make for a lot of common tropes/settings, but it was well done.
βοΈI really liked the parts surrounding the main character, Emily, and her romance book she was writing the most. I also loved the emails added for a fun mixed media element in this one! π©
π«ΆI love that the book was from dual perspectives! I don’t even want to read romance books from one perspective anymore ππ
πWhile her books are usually closed door, this one was a little more open than usual for her, but she does tell you in the beginning which chapters to skip if you want to! (I think there were two?)
π§As far as the audiobook production goes, it was perfect!! Brittany Pressley can do no wrong and has one of my favorite narrator voices of all time. Nelson also did a great job becoming Jackson in the story! Their voices made for an easy to follow and immersive listening experience!
