πThere was so much that I loved about this book, the writing being the best part. My second favorite part was the characters, even though most of them were truly a hot mess. The story is told from the perspective of three sisters and as someone who comes from a family with three sisters, I loved that aspect. I also love love books that take place during Thanksgiving since it’s not very common, so that was a perk for me, too!
π¦While I overall really enjoyed it, I wanted a bit more from the past timeline plot. The current timeline was okay, but I wasn’t as invested in the character’s current timeline as I was going back to the main tragic event the book was based on and wish more time was spent in the past than in the present.
πThere were definitely a few wonderful moments that really sold the book for me. For being a short book, it does pack a punch, but I think it could have been even better had it added a few more chapters of the past timeline.
πI loved that this was a debut and will definitely keep this author on my radar!
π§The narrator did a wonderful job, but I WISH there could have been a full cast for the different sisters so it would be easier to understand who was talking at any given time. Overall, I’d still recommend the audio!
