πŸ“–This book was SO unique! The only book I could even sort of compare it to would be Junie by Erin Crosby Eckstine and mostly just because of combination of historical literary fiction with supernatural elements.

🏠Cape Fever is a blend of a psychological thriller and literary fiction in my opinion. It reads like a traditional literary fiction novel, but then suddenly it becomes a VERY intense and suspenseful read. Throw in the supernatural elements, and it’s a genre all its own!

πŸ‘»The story takes place in the 1920s when a young maid, Soraya, begins working for a lady named Mrs. Hattingh. She has some strange behaviors, but things in her house soon become even stranger. The ending really surprised me, and I felt SO many emotions for Soraya.

🏠Bravo to Nadia Davids for such an original concept and for such deep and beautiful writing!

🎧Wow, Roshina Ratnam was the absolute perfect choice for this. Her voice carried all the emotion and depth that this story required. I need to look for more books narrated by her!
