🛥️🌊📖BOOK REVIEW📖🌊🛥️
🥰Thank you so much to @atriabooks for the gifted book!
📖Title: Adrift
✍️Author: Will Dean
📅Pub Date: February 17, 2026

🛥️The first chapter alone had me absolutely shocked and enthralled. Will Dean sure knows how to capture a reader’s attention, but that’s not news to me after reading almost all of his books! One thing all of his books have in common is that they are insanely readable and that he’s never afraid to “GO THERE” and really shoot for that shock factor. Some of his books have made me want to throw them across the room (the ending of THE LAST ONE, IYKYK)!
📖This story leaned more into family dynamics which is always something I’m interested in reading about in thrillers! This was not your normal family, but a very dysfunctional father, mother and son living in almost full isolation on a boat. At times, this was a very difficult read because of the level of emotional manipulation and abuse from one character to another character. Sadly, so much of this book is many people’s lived experience (maybe without the boat and isolation).
🌊This did feel a tad different from some of his other books, but in reality, I think all of his books have been a totally unique and original reading experience and I love that he doesn’t put himself in a box. I think this will be a huge hit and can’t wait to see what he does next!
❓How would you feel about living on a boat full-time?
