🔥 I was so excited to start this one! I’m always excited about a debut, but especially a debut being compared to an Angie Kim novel!
🍜 The first chapter was SO well done! I was hooked and drawn in in an instant! When a fire destroys two buildings in Brooklyn, the ramifications are wide spread, especially because the fire wasn’t accidental.
👀 I HAD to know who started the fire and the whole book was spent uncovering the answer! There was so much to love here, but my favorite part was the mystery element. I also loved the character dynamics and how they were all connected in different ways!
🚒 I found that the beginning was amazing, the middle lagged a little bit at times, but it was resolved so well in the end!
🔥 Overall, I think this was a brilliant idea for a novel and tackled delicate and heavy issues so well!
